Mō Te Huarahi
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our team at the Longburn Dairy site. You will work alongside site engineers and electricians, assisting and growing your knowledge in:
• Scheduled maintenance: Ensure machinery and equipment such as control equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, manufacturing, filling equipment and plant are maintained for optimum performance through active preventative and predictive maintenance tasks
• Machine breakdowns: Problem solving and repairs to ensure maximum machine uptime
• Continuous improvement: Identifying and implementing areas of improvement
• Quality and safety standards: Drive factory quality and SHE standards to ensure continued and sustainable improvement in site safety.
Mōu
• A relevant pre-trade qualification is preferred but not essential
• Mechanical aptitude
• A team player mind set
• NCEA level two in Maths and English
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• An outstanding work ethic
• Reliable, self-motivated and keen to learn and continuously improve.
You will also be expected to:
• Complete on-line assignments accurately and on time
• Attend block courses and night classes as and when required
• Comply with the training requirements to fulfil the maintenance engineering trade certification.
